The Sancai Gaiwan is a traditional tea ware composed of three parts: the lid, the bowl, and the saucer. These components symbolically represent Heaven (the lid), Humanity (the bowl), and Earth (the saucer), embodying the profound philosophical concept of the unity of Heaven, Earth, and Humanity. Traditionally, the Sancai Gaiwan is used as a personal teacup, with the saucer (also known as a "tea boat") serving the practical purpose of protecting your hands from the heat of the bowl.

The Gaiwan's wide opening and narrower base allow for an unobstructed view of the unfurling tea leaves and the captivating color of the brewed liquor. As acclaimed Chinese writer Lu Xun famously stated in his essay "Drinking Tea," "To drink good tea, one must use a Gaiwan."

This Gaiwan maintains the classic Gaiwan shape, adorned with a serene Gamboge yellow glaze. This calming hue, historically the exclusive color of ancient Chinese imperial families, evokes a sense of tranquility while also symbolizing nobility, dignity, and authenticity.
