Celadon Porcelain

As praised by the Tea Sage Lu Yu for "resembling jade, resembling ice," Celadon's warm and elegant tranquility perfectly enhances the clarity and true color of your tea, adding a noble and serene touch to your tea-drinking experience.

Yixing Zisha

Our zisha teaware is sourced exclusively from Yixing, Jiangsu – China's premier region for zisha teapots – bringing you authentic, master-crafted pieces. Its distinctive double-porous structure not only allows for breathability, transforming water quality, but also develops a lustrous patina over long-term use, making it highly cherished for appreciation.

We believe in the lasting power of elegance, simplicity, and enduring beauty in your teaware. That's why we carefully select each piece directly from trusted manufacturers in regions celebrated for their ceramic excellence: the porcelain capitals of Dehua, Chaozhou, and Jingdezhen, and the unique Zisha haven of Yixing. From many exquisite pieces available, we hand-pick only those that truly embody artistry and quality. Every single teapot and cup is a heartfelt creation, chosen to ensure that your tea-drinking experience feels as smooth, relaxing, and naturally comfortable as flowing water.

From Capitals of Chinaware

Yixing, Jiangsu

Yixing is the exclusive home of Zisha clay. In Yixing, a Zisha teapot is far more than just a vessel; it's considered a living companion that grows with you. Locals embrace the unique tradition of "raising a teapot" (养壶 - yǎng hú), where the clay's porous nature absorbs the tea's essence over countless brews.

Dehua (Fujian), Jingdezhen (Jiangxi), and Chaozhou (Guangdong)

Dehua (Fujian), Jingdezhen (Jiangxi), and Chaozhou (Guangdong) birth exquisite white, blue & white, and celadon teaware, celebrated for their delicate beauty and clarity. Fujian is the birthplace of exquisite Oolongs like Tieguanyin and Wuyi Rock Tea. Chaozhou elevates this art to an almost spiritual level with its renowned Chaozhou Gongfu Tea Ceremony, often considered the pinnacle of brewing precision.

How Does A Teapot Come Into Being

Refining the Clay

For both porcelain and Zisha, this initial stage is about transforming raw earth into a workable medium. It involves carefully extracting the raw ore, then undergoing meticulous processes of crushing, grinding, washing away impurities, precise blending (for specific clay bodies), and crucially, a prolonged period of aging. This "sleeping" allows the clay's particles to fully integrate, making it more pliable and stable, especially vital for the unique characteristics of Zisha.

Forming & Detailing

This is where raw clay truly comes alive under the artisan's touch. Whether it's the elegant spin on a potter's wheel for porcelain, or the intricate hand-pounding and meticulous joining of clay slabs by a Zisha master, this stage is about precision and artistic vision. It encompasses shaping, refining contours, adding delicate carvings, intricate painting, or even openwork designs. Each movement is a testament to skill and patience, followed by careful drying to prepare the piece for its fiery transformation.

Kiln Firing & Transformation

This is where the clay undergoes its ultimate metamorphosis. Carefully placed into the kiln, each piece endures hours, or even days, of intense, precisely controlled heat. This high-temperature embrace transforms the raw clay into a durable, non-porous, and stable ceramic form. For porcelain, the glaze melts and fuses to the surface, creating its signature glossy finish. For Zisha, this firing develops its unique double-porous structure, revealing its natural color and texture without the need for any glaze.
