This oolong tea hails from my hometown, the Chaoshan region of Guangdong, and is a prized type of Dancong oolong tea – one of my personal favorites.

Crafted using traditional hand methods and charcoal roasting, it perfectly preserves the tea's naturally rich and mellow character. You'll experience a distinctively rich, mellow, and sweet aroma, a complete absence of astringency, and a delightful lingering sweet aftertaste (huigan).

Remarkably, it can be steeped multiple times, retaining its fragrant and sweet tea flavor even after 18 infusions. This tea is truly suitable for all types of tea enthusiasts.

Brewing Instructions

*Recommended water: Try to use natural mineral water.

1. Gongfu Style (Gaiwan / Zisha Teapot)

  • Tea: 5g
  • Water: 100ml (100℃ / 212°F)
  • Rinse Brew: Quickly pour out the first infusion (discard).
  • Steep Time: Steep for 1 minute (for the second infusion), then increase each subsequent steep by 15 seconds.

2. Mug Brew

  • Tea: 3g
  • Water: 200ml (100℃ / 212°F)
  • Steep Time: We recommend 3 minutes. Longer steep times will result in more noticeable bitterness and huigan (sweet aftertaste).

*Tips: If you want to shorten the brewing time or pursue a stronger taste, you can increase the ratio of tea leaves to water. You can also adjust the water temperature, which can enhance the aroma.

Packaging & Storage

Our tea comes in resealable bags designed to keep your tea fresh and protected from moisture and oxidation. After each use, we recommend storing the sealed bag in a cool, dry, and odor-free place.

Exceptional experience!

This is my first time to try a dancong oolong. Glad to find this tea to start with my Gongfu Cha experience. It's sweet, honey, and great aftertaste. Definitely will order again.
